The first part of Toll 49 is being constructed in five (5) segments. Segment 1 (SH 155 to US 69) is complete and open to traffic. Segment 2 (US 69 to FM 756) is nearing completion and should be open to traffic in the coming months. Choose one of the future segments on the left to view specific details.
Once complete, these segments of Toll 49 will form a 32-mile loop around the south and west sides of Tyler. As a toll road, Loop 49 will offer drivers a choice of a fast-moving, convenient method of traveling around the city, as well as providing quick access to IH-20, for travel to Dallas, Shreveport, and points beyond.

Segment 3A extends from SH 155 northwesterly to SH 31, a distance of approximately 5.9 miles.

Segment 3B extends from SH 31 north to IH 20, a distance of approximately 10.4 miles.

Segment 4 is in the preliminary planning stage of development. This segment will extend from IH 20 northerly to US 69 above Lindale, a distance of approximately 6.6 miles. Corridor planning, environmental documentation and clearance, and other tasks must be completed before this segment can enter the right-of-way acquisition.
